JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government's regional revenue towards the end of the year is still minimal. As of last October 30, it was recorded that the realization of DKI's revenue was only 52 percent of the DKI regional revenue target in the 2022 budget year budget year of IDR 77.4 trillion.

Member of the Budget Agency of the DKI Jakarta DPRD, Gembong Warsono, said that the regional revenue achievement of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government is still far from expectations.

Gembong also asked the Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta Heru Budi Hartono to look for breakthroughs to make more regional income. Although, he said, Heru had only served for about two weeks.

"Pak Heru must pick up the ball. As for the relaxation (income of the tax sector), I think so. Just need activeness, breakthroughs, high motivation is needed to maximize the income that has been set," Gembong told reporters, Thursday, November 2.

Gembong said he was optimistic that Heru could increase the nominal revenue until the end of the year. This is because Heru is a bureaucrat who has served as Head of the DKI Jakarta Regional Financial and Asset Management Agency (BPKAD) and the Mayor of North Jakarta some time ago.

"I'm sure that in the past two months, I can still reduce the achievement gap with the target. Because once again, this (Jajaran Pemprov DKI) is all of his former friends (Heru). Invite us together to pursue what achieves more maximum income," explained Gembong.

On that occasion, Gembong also highlighted the lack of absorption of regional spending in the 2022 APBD, which is 57.33 percent of the absorption target.

Gembong assessed that the low budget absorption was caused by the DKI Jakarta Governor's Team for the Acceleration of Development (TGUPP) in the era of former DKI Governor Anies Baswedan, who was still working until 16 October.

"Until October, the burden of civil servants was not too free. Yesterday there was a lot of TGUPP interference, but the SKPD did not dare to talk. This is the problem. Thus, hampering the absorption process is very significant," he said.
