COVID-19 Update as of November 2: 4,873 New Cases from Examination of 65,204 Specimens

JAKARTA - The Task Force for Handling COVID-19 released the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 as of today. A total of 65,204 specimens were examined with the result that there were 4,873 new positive cases of COVID-19.

"The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 6,502,659 and active cases have increased by 2,791 to 30,053 cases", said data from the COVID-19 Task Force, Wednesday, November 2.

Today's recovered cases increased by 2,050 people, bringing the total to 6,313,911 recovered. Then, positive confirmed cases who died increased by 32 cases and a total of 158,695 people.

The province with the newest cases was DKI Jakarta with 1,781 cases and a total of 1,451,125 cases. Followed by West Java with 700 new cases with a total of 1,190,670 cases. East Java with 580 new cases and a total of 614,362 cases. Banten with 442 new cases and a total of 343,255 cases.

The province with the most recovered cases today belongs to DKI Jakarta with an additional 626 recovered cases. Followed by East Java with an increase of 467 recovered, West Java with an additional 259 recovered, and Central Java with an increase of 135 recovered.

In addition, the number of specimens that have been examined using RT-PCR, TCM, and antigens reached 110,601,939.

"Positive results per number of people examined or the positivity rate of people this week is 10.35 percent", it wrote.

The number of people suspected of contracting COVID-19 or who are currently categorized as suspected cases was recorded at 5,941 people. Currently, 34 provinces have had cases of COVID-19.

To date, 205,159,120 people have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination and 171,920,120 people have received the second dose of vaccination.

While the third dose of vaccination was 65,138,522 people and the fourth dose was 669,805 people. Meanwhile, the target for vaccination in Indonesia is 234,666,020 people.
