JAKARTA - The West Jakarta Metro Police recorded 30 schools where students were involved in a brawl. In fact, it was stated that the brawl occurred due to a trivial problem, mocking each other on social media.

"There are 30 schools whose students are indicated to often fight. This is our moral responsibility to prevent that," said West Jakarta Metro Police Chief Kombes Pol Pasma Royce while providing counseling to Bhara Trikora High School, Tanjung Duren, West Jakarta, Friday, October 28.

However, Pasma did not specify which sub-districts were considered to be often involved in brawls. According to Pasma, there are many factors that cause brawls, including the use of social media that is not monitored, so students often use it to mock each other until it ends in a brawl.

Therefore, Pasma reminded the students to use social media wisely. He also hopes that the students will not be easily provoked by emotions. Students are expected to shift their emotions and enthusiasm to more useful and safe activities.

Thus, every student will have a clear vision and mission ahead so that they are only focused on pursuing their dreams.

"The future of children who can determine is only the child himself. Let's learn seriously and make our parents proud with the achievements that we can achieve," he said.

Pasma ensured that the brawl prevention program would continue to roll out in all police stations to reduce the number of brawl cases in the West Jakarta area.

Previously, activities to prevent brawls had been carried out by police in several areas.

One of them is the activities of the Taman Sari Metro Police who carry out surveillance to ensure students reach their respective homes when they return from school on Tuesday (18/10).

All Bhabinkamtibmas every day go home from school hours to educate students about brawls while monitoring students to go straight home.

"There are no crowds to avoid clashes with other students," said Taman Sari Police Chief AKBP Rohman Yonky Dilatha
