Pinangki Once Told Djoko Tjandra That She Doesn't Like Her Husband Smoking

JAKARTA - Businessman, Andi Irfan Jaya, believes that Pinangki Sirna Malasari has a close relationship with the convicted person in the Bank Bali "cessie" case, Djoko Tjandra. The reason was that Pinangki told Joko Tjandra about household matters.

"I think that Mrs. Pinangki is close to Mr. Djoko Tjandra because she dared to convey household matters to Djoko Tjandra. Someone who talks about household issues must have closeness," said Andi Irfan at the Corruption Court (Tipikor) Jakarta, quoted by Antara, December 7.

Andi Irfan became a witness for the defendant and the former Head of Monitoring and Evaluation Section II of the Planning Bureau of the Deputy Attorney General for the Development of the Attorney General's Office, Pinangki Sirna Malasari.

The talks between Pinangki and Joko Tjandra took place on November 25, 2019, at Djoko Tjandra's office on The Exchange 106 Kuala Lumpur.

"You only met for 2 hours with Djoko Tjandra. Then, you can conclude that Pinangki and Djoko Tjandra are close?" asked the chairman of the panel of judges, Ignasius Eko Purwanto.

"That's my opinion," replied Andi Irfan.

"What did you hear the defendant's words about the household?" asked Judge Eko.

"That she is having a problem with her husband. Her husband smokes, and Pinangki does not like that he is smoking. It is like a big problem in their household," said Andi Irfan.

"What other household problems?" asked Judge Eko.

"She told him that her child is an IVF. I consider it personal," replied Andi Irfan.

In this case, Pinangki was charged with three counts. Namely, the first charge of receiving a bribe of 500 thousand US dollars (around Rp7.4 billion) from the convicted Bank Bali cessie case Joko Soegiarto Tjandra.

Second, the money laundering charges originating from the receipt of bribes amounting to USD 444,900 or around IDR 6,219,380,900 as money given by Joko Tjandra for processing fatwas to the Supreme Court.

Third, Pinangki was charged with committing malicious conspiracy along with Andi Irfan Jaya and Joko Tjandra to bribe officials at the AGO and MA worth 10 million US dollars.
