Stealing Batteries Of Solar Lamp, Three Men In Lebak Being Chased By Buser On Patrol

Lebak – Three solar-powered lamp thieves were arrested by the Lebak Police Criminal Investigation Unit while acting on Jalan Raya Cipanas, Block Salak Oil, Maja District, Lebak Regency. Lebak Deputy Chief of Police, Kompol Roby Heri Saputra, said the arrest occurred when the perpetrator took off the lamp and was about to put it in the car.

Roby said the arrest began when the Lebak Police Satreskrim Opsnal team during the Kring Serse Patrol saw a suspicious car parked on the side of the road at around one o'clock in the evening.

“Feeling suspicious, officers approached the vehicle. After being approached, there were three people, but when approached, the three people fled, and there was an iron box with solar panel lamps lighting the way. Members chased and managed to secure the three perpetrators, SK (27), DD (47), JH (27)," explained Roby in a written statement, Thursday, October 27.

At the time of the arrest, officers found a number of evidence in the form of an iron box for storing Lithium Batteries 110 AH 25.6 V 2640 WH, a white Toyota Avanza car, with Nopol B-1384-WZE, one wrench, a cable length of approximately 5 meters.

Roby continued, until now his party is still developing the case. The perpetrators are suspected of being a thief syndicate specializing in solar lamp batteries.

"Currently we are still developing the case to hunt down other perpetrators such as the collectors or collectors of the goods," added Roby.

The suspects were detained under Article 363 of the Criminal Code with the threat of seven years in prison.
