JAKARTA - Liz Truss said Britain would face "brighter days" when she delivered her final speech as a leader outside her office on 10 Downing Street, London on Tuesday.

"Our country continues to struggle through storms. But I believe in Britain. I believe in the British people. And I know that brighter days are scattered ahead," Truss said.

Truss hopes that his replacement, Rishi Sunak, will succeed in his work, emphasizing that he still believes in the high-growth and low-tax ideologies he tried to pursue during his tenure.

"From my time as prime minister, I am more confident than ever, that we must be brave and face the challenges we face," said Truss.

"It's not because of things that we don't dare to do. Because we don't dare, it becomes difficult," Truss said, citing Roman philosopher Seneca.

Citing The National News, Truss was accompanied by her husband Hugh O'Leary and his two teenage daughters, Frances and Liberty.

After Downing Street 10, Truss will formally submit his resignation to King Charles III at Buckingham Palace.

It is known that Truss, who resigned last week, was listed as British Prime Minister with a short term of office, only 45 days.
