North Jakarta Metro Police are still investigating the fire that hit the Jakarta Islamic Center (JIC) Mosque, Koja, North Jakarta.

North Jakarta Metro Police Chief Kombes Wibowo said his party was still waiting for the results by the crime scene (TKP) and testing evidence from the National Police Headquarters Forensic Laboratory Center Team (Puslabfor) regarding the fire that occurred on Wednesday, October 19.

"Yes (the results of the lab strengthen evidence of negligence). Later the results of the Labfor come out and we will discuss the examination of witnesses along with the evidence found at the crime scene, we will combine all of them later," Wibowo said when contacted, Sunday, October 22.

Wibowo said that until now the fire case was still under investigation. The police have also investigated a number of witnesses to determine the cause of the intentional fire, negligence or others.

"We are still waiting for the lab results first while waiting for the examination of other witnesses, we have not determined who the suspects are," he said.

Previously, it was reported that Puslabfor Police Headquarters personnel brought burned material from the location of the Jakarta Islamic Center dome fire after conducting a crime scene investigation on Thursday, October 20.
