SERANG A man with the initials MN (37) died after being stabbed in the back once by an unknown person (OTK). The victim when the incident just came home from Friday prayers on a motorbike. Suddenly the incident made residents of Jalan Banten, Lopang Village, Serang District, Banten suddenly crowded.

Serang City Police personnel together with Serang Police conducted a crime scene (TKP) after receiving a report at around 13.30 WIB.

Serang Police Chief AKP Tedy Heru Murtianto said the victim MN was known to be an entrepreneur who was a resident of Lopang Village

"The incident occurred on Friday (October 21) at 13.00 p.m., on Jalan Banten, the Mesjid. Initially, the victim returned home from Friday prayers at the mosque near the victim's residence. The victim left the house to the mosque using a motorbike. And when he was about to go home, on the way the victim was stabbed from behind by an unknown person once using a sharp weapon. The victim suffered a tear on the back," Tedy explained in a written statement received Friday night, October 21.

According to witnesses at the scene, the perpetrator immediately fled using a motorbike.

"The victim was injured and immediately went to his brother's house which was not far from the scene. The victim fainted at his brother's house because he was bleeding. Then the victim was taken to the nearest hospital, but the victim died from the wound," he added.

Currently, Serang City Police personnel together with Serang Police are conducting an investigation regarding this case.

"It is not yet known the motive for the perpetrator to carry out the action, until now the Serang Police together with the Serang City Police Satreskrim are conducting an investigation by checking CCTV footage at the scene and examining witnesses," concluded Tedy.
