JAKARTA - Golkar Party Chairman Airlangga Hartarto targets his party to win 48 million votes in the 2024 General Election. To achieve that target, Airlangga asked each Golkar cadre to get 20,000 votes. According to Airlangga, the 17 million votes in the 2019 General Election are still too small, so it needs to be increased in the 2024 General Election. This was conveyed by Airlangga in front of cadres who attended the National Consolidation and Engineering Guidance (Bimtek) as well as the celebration of the Golkar Party's Le-58 Anniversary at Hall C JIExpo Kemayoran, Central Jakarta, Thursday, October 20. "Today I ask, win Golkar with a minimum of 20,000 votes per person present. I want the Golkar Party to get 48 million votes," Airlangga said in his remarks. Airlangga said he was optimistic that Golkar could achieve this target in the 2024 General Election. Because, he said, on the birthday celebration which was held today, Golkar could close ranks together. According to Airlangga, if one legislative candidate can win 20,000 votes and members of the DPR get 100 thousand votes, then the matter of presidential election is a matter that is not difficult. "If there are 100.000 DPR members, if all of them can be 100,000, the president is an easy matter. I ask for 20.000 (per cadre) that is the conclusion of today's technical guidance," said Airlangga. Airlangga said the Golkar Party had registered with the General Election Commission (KPU) with a total of 34 provinces and had been declared complete 100 percent in districts/cities. In 2024, Airlangga added, Golkar will be 60 years old.
