JAKARTA - In the midst of the hectic issue of fraudulent investment, PT Interpan Pasicif Futures actually received the Indonesian World Record Museum (MURI) award.

The financial services company was awarded the MURI record for futures brokers who have the highest transaction volume for five consecutive years.

"PT. Interpan Pacific Futures has been registered by CoFTRA. CoFTRA's legality proves that Interpan is very serious about running a futures brokerage company," said Andre representing the MURI record verification team when the certificate was handed over to the President Director of PT. Interpan Pacific Futures, Jusuf Iskandar Luhut at the MURI Gallery, Jakarta, Tuesday (18/10/2022).

Interpan Pacific Futures is registered with the Commodity Futures Trading Agency (CoFTRA) with a license number

427/CoFTRA/SI/VII/2004 is also a member of the Jakarta Futures Exchange (BBJ) and a member of PT Kliring Berjangka Indonesia with license number 27/AK/KBI/9/2004.

Jusuf explained that this record was based on Interpan's achievements during the 2014-2018 period. In a row of five years, Interpan received an award from the exchange in the form of the largest transaction volume. "Our transaction achievement in 2014 was around 400 thousand more (lots), then in 2015 it reached more than 500 thousand, and 2016, 2017, 2018 was more than 700 thousand," he explained.

For Interpan, continued Jusuf, the existence of this MURI award is a pride and a positive image of the company in the outside community, both existing investors and prospective customers.

"MURI is not an obscure organization, it belongs to Indonesia. With MURI giving the award, of course, it has been confirmed to the relevant parties, in this case, CoFTRA, there is an exchange of clarity from Interpenetration, MURI cannot be original, we provide evidence," he said.

He admits that there are indeed many companies that are moving in the field of futures brokers such as Interpan operating without legality. However, he also observes that investors are currently increasingly literate and cautious about investing.

"As we all know, there are more people in the Criminal Investigation Department, if we take positive lessons, there are also victims. Victims of fraudulent investments are becoming literate. Now, in the online era, so many victims from these companies are looking to find out more about the difference. Finally, they understand and learn not to repeat it again," said Jusuf.

Asked for tips for potential investors so as not to be trapped in fraudulent investments, Jusuf was intrigued. "Sometimes we are funny, the potential victims know this is a lie. Now is the age of technology, so we google it and find out what company this is, but they want it fast, they want easy money that makes them don't care about risk. Want to try, thought 1 -2 times immediately pulled it out, this even added, finally it became deep," he said.

The threat of an economic recession has become a hot issue lately. However, Jusuf advised that this potential does not necessarily scare the public into being unproductive.

"Those who were previously unaffected have become affected. We can accept the issue, but we have to make plans. I think the effects of this recession are mostly on Western countries. Hopefully in Asia we can get through these difficult times, if we look at it." "Issues beyond 2023 must be very careful, but not too much. We must carry on as usual, the key is that the economy must run," he said.
