JAKARTA - The Russian investigative commission is investigating alleged violations of aviation rules regarding the fall of Russian war bomber jets, which later the death toll from the incident has risen to 13 people.

After full cleaning of the disaster site, the death toll from the blaze triggered by a fighter jet crash in an apartment building yard in the southern Russian city of Yeysk has risen to 13 people, a source at the Emergency Ministry press service said.

"The rescue team has completed cleaning up debris. Ten bodies were found during rescue activities, bringing the total number of deaths to 13, including three children. Fifteen people were injured in emergency situations," the ministry representative said.

Rescue efforts made it possible to save 68 people, the source said, adding that more than 360 people were evacuated.

Meanwhile, the Investigative Committee (IC) is investigating alleged violations of flight rules, in the collapse of the Sukhoi Su-34 fighter bomber.

"The Main Military Investigation Directorate of the Russian Investigative Committee continues to investigate criminal cases opened under Article 351 of the Criminal Code (violation of flight rules or preparations for them) for the downing of Sukhoi-34 aircraft in Yeysk," the IC Press Service said in a press release.

Investigations have been carried out to analyze fuel samples at departure airports, as well as the necessary documentation.

"Pilots that managed to eject themselves, as well as airport personnel, are being investigated. Aviation recordings have been found from the accident site for inspection," said IC.

As previously reported, a Su-34 bomber crashed in Yeysk during a training flight on October 17, after one of its engines caught fire.

The fuel that spilled during the crash ignited, with the fire spreading to nearby residential buildings, scorched nine floors. The pilot managed to get out of the plane. Meanwhile, President Vladimir Putin ordered to provide all the necessary assistance to the victims.
