Four candidate pairs for the Makassar Pilkada

MAKASSAR - The third debate in the Makassar Pilkada was held on Friday, December 4 morning. The Makassar Pilkada debate is still being held in Jakarta for security reasons.

The KPU of Makassar City set the theme for the third debate in the Makassar Pilkada, namely the COVID-19 policy, commitment to tackling drugs, protecting children and women and alleviating poverty.

"The debate on Friday 4 December at 08.30 WIB," said KPU commissioner Makassar Abdul Rahman, contacted by VOI, Tuesday, December 2.

Meanwhile, the Commissioner for the Makassar KPU in the Community Participation and HR Division, Endang Sari, said that the third debate in the Makassar Pilkada is important so that the voters in Makassar City know the vision and mission, programs and ideas to bring the city forward.

Endang also explained the reason for the KPU to re-establish the Makassar Pilkada debate in Jakarta. First, prevent crowds that have the potential to transmit COVID-19.

In addition, the Makassar KPU also received recommendations from the police regarding security.

"The results of the recommendations from the Makassar Polrestabes were conveyed by the Chief of Police that (there is) the potential for frictional support," said Endang.

KPU also reminded all candidate pairs to ensure a conducive situation in Makassar City until the vote on December 9.

"Commitment, love is how Makassar does not do things that we don't want together, like that. How can everyone keep Makassar conducive," he said.

There are four candidate pairs competing in the Makassar Pilkada, namely:

1. Moh Ramdhan Pomanto-Fatmawati Rusdi (ADAMA)

2. Munafri Arifuddin-Abdul Rahman Bando (Appi-Rahman)

3. Syamsu Rizal (Deng Ical) -Fadli Ananda (DILAN)

4. Irman Yasin Limpo-Andi Zunnun Armin Nurdin Halid (IMUN)
