After Anies Lengser, PDIP No Longer Became The Composition Of The Acting Governor Of DKI

JAKARTA - Chairman of the PDIP faction of the DKI Jakarta DPRD Gembong Warsono said that his party would no longer become an opposition party in the DKI parliament after Anies Baswedan's term of office ended and was replaced by the Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta. "The position of the PDIP Faction is no longer the opposition, but it remains critical. Yesterday we placed ourselves as an opposition faction because Anies was not supported by PDIP," said Gembong when contacted, Monday, October 10. Starting October 17, 2022, Jakarta will be led by Heru Budi Hartono as Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta, in accordance with President Joko Widodo's decision. Heru is currently still serving as Head of the Presidential Secretariat (Kasetpres). Considering that the Jakarta leader in the next two years is not based on the political contestation process, PDIP will be in a neutral position. "Now it's not about supporting, it's not about not supporting, but this is an ASN which is mandated by the President as the Acting Governor. So, the PDIP faction's position has now changed, changing is constructive critical," said Gembong. Moreover, Gembong views Heru as going to work professionally. Given, Heru is an official of the state civil apparatus (ASN). "I'm sure he will understand placing himself as a Acting Officer with a background as an ASN. Why can he be the Acting Governor, because he is an ASN. So, that background makes me sure that he will carry out his main duties as a professional Acting Officer," he explained. As is known, Jokowi has appointed Heru Budi Hartono as Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta. This was decided by Jokowi in a meeting of the Final Assessment Team (TPA) which was chaired directly by Jokowi at the Merdeka Palace, some time ago. Before being elected, there were three names of candidates for the Acting Governor of DKI proposed by the DKI Jakarta DPRD. Apart from Heru, the names of the previously proposed Acting Governor were DKI Jakarta Provincial Secretary Marullah Matali and Director General of Polpum Kemendagri Bahtiar. Heru is not new to the scope of government in Jakarta. He started his career in 1993 by becoming a Civil Servant (PNS) with the position of Special Staff of the Mayor of North Jakarta. Heru Budi has also occupied a number of important positions. For example, in 2014, Jokowi, who was then the Governor of DKI Jakarta, appointed him as Mayor of North Jakarta. After that he was appointed Head of DKI BPKAD in 2015.
