Lesti Kejora Victim Of Domestic Violence, Komnas Perempuan: Perpetrator Must Be Punished

JAKARTA - The Women's National Commission (Komnas Perempuan) spoke on the case of Lesti Kejora's Domestic Violence (KDRT) with her husband, Rizky Billar. Komnas Perempuan Commissioner Theresia Iswarini said that Rizky billar must be prosecuted. This is an understanding that domestic violence is a crime.

"The perpetrator, in this case, is the husband should be prosecuted as part of building an understanding that domestic violence is a crime," said Theresia via text message, Thursday, October 6.

On the other hand, Theresia said, for those who are victims of domestic violence to immediately get physical and mental treatment. This was done to relieve the prolonged trauma for Lesti Kejora.

"Getting physical and mental recovery considering the potential trauma experienced by victims even in the long term," she concluded.

Previously reported, the Metro Jaya Police revealed that the post-mortem results showed that there were several injuries suffered by artist Lestiani alias Lesti Kejora due to domestic violence (KDRT) allegedly committed by her husband, Muhammad Rizky alias Rizky Billar.

"There are bruises on the back of the right hand accompanied by swelling, bruising, and pain," said the Head of Public Relations of the Metro Jaya Police Kombes Endra Zulpan, Wednesday, October 5.

Zulpan also said that the post-mortem results showed that there were bruises on Lesti's left elbow caused by a blunt object.

"The injuries or abnormalities were caused by blunt force," he said.

South Jakarta Metro Police Investigators have also sent a summons to Rizky Billar to undergo an examination on Thursday, October 6 regarding the domestic violence case.
