Gibran To The People Affected By The Joglo Underpass: Don't Worry About Compensing, Some Say They Are Even Beneficial

SURAKARTA - Surakarta Mayor Gibran Rakabuming Raka asked residents affected by the construction of the Joglo underpass not to worry about the government's compensation process.

"We have been fair about compensation so far. There have been no protests, so far, some even say it is beneficial because the value is calculated more than what is available," said Gibran in Solo, Tuesday, October 4, as reported by Antara.

Gibran asked the public not to worry because the process would be monitored so that compensation would not harm the community.

Regarding the stages of structuring the Joglo intersection, he said, so far it is still going according to plan, both the construction of an overpass by the Ministry of Transportation and the underpass development plan by the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR).

Especially for the development of the Joglo underpass, he said, it has entered the stage of socialization to the surrounding community.

"Meanwhile, the progress and deviation of the flyover are still good. So just calm down because everything is still according to the plan described at the beginning," he said.

Previously, last week, the National Road Implementation Unit (PJN) Region 3 Central Java, the Directorate of Highways, the Ministry of PUPR together with the Central Java Provincial Government and the Surakarta City Government conducted socialization in four sub-districts affected by the construction of the Joglo underpass.

The next stage, will be measured until verification is carried out before the compensation process is carried out. On the sidelines of this activity, the official document for determining the location can be completed by the Surakarta City Government in October.

Assistant for Land for PJN Satker Region 3 Central Java Agus Mulyanto said the socialization was given as an initial stage in the land acquisition process, including exposure to measurement results to residents.
