KPK Takes A Persuasive Approach So Papua Governor Lukas Enembe Wll Be Cooperative

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) continues to take a persuasive approach so that the Governor of Papua, Lukas Enembe, cooperates in responding to the summons of investigators.

"We are still continuing to take a persuasive approach so that the person concerned is cooperative. We will continue to respect the health of the person concerned. We conveyed that, both through his legal adviser and through the Kapolda and Pangdam yesterday so that it was carried out persuasively," said Deputy Chair of the KPK Alexander Marwata in the building Merah Putih KPK, Jakarta as reported by ANTARA, Monday, October 4.

This persuasive step, he said, was to prevent the risks that might arise, for example there was the forced pick-up of Lukas Enembe.

Previously, the KPK had summoned Lukas Enembe to be questioned as a suspect at the KPK's Merah Putih building, Jakarta, Monday (26/9). However, he did not answer the call on the grounds that he was still sick.

Lukas Enembe, said Alex, also included a doctor's certificate and medical record.

"This is evidenced by a doctor's certificate, both a personal doctor and a medical record and a medical record from a doctor in Singapore. It is true based on that information, a medical record and there is an obligation or a doctor's note that the person concerned must be examined immediately because of a certain period on a regular basis. According to the medical record, it must be checked," he said.

Alexander said this was indeed a consideration for the KPK. However, he hopes that Lukas Enembe can attend first at the KPK's Merah Putih building, Jakarta.

If Lukas Enembe is from Jayapura to be checked in Singapore, it means that he will take a flight that is quite far, or further than when he was from Jayapura to Jakarta.
