Not Wanting To Be Left Behind From The TGIPF, The DPR Proposes A Form Of Cross-Faction Special Committee Investigating The Judicial Tragedy

JAKARTA - The DPR also wants to participate in investigating the tragedy of Kanjuruhan that killed 125 supporters after the match between Arema Malang and Persebaya Surabaya. A number of members of the DPR across factions agreed to propose the formation of the Special Committee (Pansus) for the tragedy of the Malang Court.

"We have received support from cross-faction members, for the formation of the Kanjuruhan Tragedy Special Committee. We hope that this Special Committee can oversee the investigation process of cases that have triggered so many casualties," said Member of Commission III of the PKB Faction Heru Widodo, Monday, October 3.

As of Monday afternoon, there have been representatives from eight factions who expressed their support for the formation of the Pansus of the Kanjuruhan Tragedy.

The members of the DPR who signed the support for the formation of the Special Committee were among them from the PDI-P faction, the Golkar Party faction, the PKB faction, the Gerindra faction, the Democratic faction, the PAN faction, the NasDem faction, and the PKS faction. His party will bring this signature of support to the leadership of the DPR to be ratified at the DPR Plenary Meeting.

"We hope that the Kanjuruhan Special Committee will be formed as soon as possible so that it can work quickly in the field," he said.

Senayan politicians deeply regret the worst events in the world of football in the XXI century. Saat ini, kata Heru telah terjadi perkembangan teknologi dan regulasi luar biasa untuk memastikan sepak bola menjadi saksikan yang aman dan nyaman. Tapi faktanya di Indonesia peristiwa membuat bagi suporter sepak bola masih terus terjadi. Sejak 2005 hingga tengah 2022 saja ini saja sudah ada 68 suporter bola yang meninggal dunia.

"With such an extraordinary incident such as the Kanjuruhan Tragedy, you can conclude for yourself how far behind our football management is," he said.

Heru emphasized that the DPR urges the government to stop the wheels of football competitions in the country so that there is a complete improvement in the governance of football competitions in the country. The decline in the Kanjuruhan Tragedy is the best momentum to rearrange the management of football competitions in Indonesia.

"We agree with the President's attitude in asking for a significant termination of Liga I until there is a significant improvement. It is not enough with the statement of the PSSI Chair where the delay is only 1 week. It is only a period of mourning. It can't be done. There must be further improvements to the commitment of the federation. This is also what the public is demanding," he said.

Member of Commission X Muhammad Gaddafi emphasized that the government must immediately issue implementation rules from Law Number 11/2022 concerning Sport, especially regarding the implementation of championships and supporters, and urge to immediately issue derivative regulations of the law.

"We also urge PT. The New Indonesian League to immediately provide insurance guarantees for the rights of victims of the Malang Jakarta Football tragedy, in accordance with applicable laws and regulations," he concluded.
