JAKARTA - The Head of the Public Relations Division of the National Police, Inspector General Dedi Prasetyo, confirmed that his party had dispatched the DVI Team led by Brigadier General Nyoman to Malang, East Java, Sunday, October 2.

The National Police Headquarters also deployed a whole team of doctors from Bhayangkara Hospital Malang, Kediri, and Surabaya

"By the Presidential Order, today the National Police Chief and the Minister of Youth and Sports will leave for Malang. The National Police Chief has now dispatched a DVI Team led by Brigadier General Nyoman", Inspector General Dedi told reporters, Sunday, October 2.

Inspector General Dedi explained that the National Police will cooperate with the local medical team in Malang to provide the best medical services.

"Don't let the number of victims increase", he said.

Meanwhile, with a large number of victims, continued Inspector General Dedi, the DVI team must also work hard to immediately identify the deceased.

"Because the number of places for storing corpses in hospitals is limited", he said.

"Therefore, the DVI Team at the National Police Headquarters cooperated with the local DVI team to identify quickly so that the victim could be returned to the family and buried", he said.
