Reduce The Risk Of Accidents By Choosing Safe Transportation

JAKARTA - As many as 10 people died in successive accidents that occurred at KM 78 Tol Cipali towards Cirebon, on Monday morning this morning. It is known that all the dead and injured victims came from the Elf's vehicle which was an illegal travel.

The absence of an operational permit and a guaranteed safety ride has become a serious concern of the Director General of Land Transportation, Budi Setiyadi, after inspecting the accident site. Because a similar accident also happened to illegal travel on the Cileunyi toll road, some time ago.

"These two accidents befall illegal travel. The risk is if the travel is illegal, there is no operational permit and the driver is not guaranteed. How is his ability is also uncertain," said Director General Budi in a written statement, Monday, November 30.

For the public, Director General Budi also advised not to choose illegal travel as a means of transportation because of the low safety factor of the driver or the absence of a valid operational permit or insurance.

"It is recommended to use public buses with clearer permits, vehicles, and insurance for passengers," he concluded.

As is known, this deadly accident involved three vehicles, namely two tronton vehicles and one minibus or Elf vehicle. This accident started when an Elf vehicle with the number G 1261 D came from the direction of Jakarta to Cirebon.

When passing at the crime scene, the vehicle crashed into a tronton vehicle with the number R 1857 GC in front of it. The trontoon vehicle then crashed into another trontoon with UEJ B 9010 in front of it.

"Eight people died at the TKP, 10 people died in the hospital, one was lightly injured, and one was seriously injured. These dead victims all came from Elf," said Director of Traffic of the West Java Regional Police, Kombes Eddy Djunaedi.
