Appreciation To BPKH Board Member's Dissertation Suhaji, Anggito Hopes BPKH Can Allocate Hajj Funds Better

JAKARTA - The Chief Executive of the Hajj Financial Management Agency (BPKH) Anggito Abimanyu appreciated the graduation and dissertation taken by a member of the Supervisory Board of the Hajj Financial Management Agency (BPKH), Suhaji Lestiadi.

According to him, the dissertation that is taken not only provides input to BPKH but also other similar institutions in allocating their investment funds so that they can be better.

For your information, member of the Supervisory Board of the Hajj Financial Management Agency (BPKH), Suhaji Lestiadi successfully obtained a Doctoral degree in the Faculty of Economics at Trisakti University.

The title of the doctoral dissertation taken by Suhaji is entitled "Optimal Hajj Fund Allocation Strategy at the Hajj Financial Management Agency (BPKH)".

"Actually, this is not only for BPKH, but also similar institutions can do how to allocate the available money," said Anggito to the media after the inauguration of Suhaji's doctorate, at Trisakti University, West Jakarta, Tuesday, September 27.

Anggito said, in his dissertation presentation, Suhaji explained how to allocate hajj funds to be more optimal by paying attention to returns and reducing risk.

"In order to be optimal with low risk, adequate return, Mr. Suhaji has already proven that it is indeed better for investment to pay attention to what is called return or return, and also be concerned with risk, well it must be balanced," he said.

Therefore, Anggito hopes that with this dissertation, similar institutions will not be too ambitious in their pursuit of income so as to rule out risk.

"Don't be too ambitious in pursuing income or returns but also forget about risks," he added.

Meanwhile, after being confirmed as a doctoral degree, BPKH Supervisory Board member Suhaji Lestiadi hopes that his research can be input for BPKH so that it can be more moderate in managing the hajj finances.

"Alhamdulillah, we have graduated, then what we get from this research can be applied by BPKH, especially from this research, it shows that the moderate strategy implemented by BPKH is correct," said Suhaji.

In his dissertation, said Suhaji, he used the Triangle Methodology, which is a quantitative method using linear programming, and a qualitative method using Analytical Hierarchy Processes (AHP) by means of interviews by experts, and the Tauhidi String Relation (TSR) method, which produces a moderate strategy in Hajj management.

In the future, Suhaji hopes that BPKH will be able to maintain the strategy for managing the hajj funds in a moderate scenario.

"Moderate means mid, not up, not down, not aggressive, not conservative, not avoiding risk. But not looking for risk but managing risk, namely a risk taker, there are risks that must be managed," he said.

"So in the future BPKH can get the maximum benefit value in order to support the activities of managing hajj funds," concluded Suhaji.
