BENGKULU - Three convicts of narcotics cases in Class IIA Bentiling Prison Bengkulu City were transferred to Nusakambangan Island, Central Java Province because they were categorized as high risk (high risk). Head of Bengkulu City Bengkulu Class IIA Prison Ade Kusmanto said the three convicts were HY with a sentence of 43 years. Then the convict ES was sentenced to 32 years in prison and AT was sentenced to 12 years in prison. All three have violated Article 114 paragraph 2 of the Republic of Indonesia Law number 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics. "The transfer of the three convicts who are at high risk is to undergo a coaching program," said Ade in Bengkulu City, Antara, Sunday, September 25. He added that this step was also an effort by the Ministry of Law and Human Rights to prevent the circulation and control of narcotics in prisons. The transfer of the three drug convicts was based on the results of an assessment from the Correctional Advisory Officer at the Bengkulu Correctional Center. Officers stated that the three convicts, namely HY, ES, and AT, were classified as high-risk categories, potentially disrupting the security and order of the prison. The departure of the three convicts of drugs Bengkulu to Nusakambangan was carried out after receiving an approval letter from the Director General of Prison through a letter number PAS - PK. 05.05-1500. The departure of the three was released last Friday using a Brimob prisoner car and arrived on Nusakambangan Island in Central Java Province today. The three convicts will be placed in the Maximum Security Prison or Batu Prison. It is known that the transfer of the three drug convicts was led directly by the Acting Head of the Bengkulu Ministry of Law and Human Rights Regional Office Johan Manurung with strict supervision of the Bengkulu Police Mobile Brigade Unit.
