Social Minister Risma Confirms Investigation of BLT BBM Cutting Case

JAKARTA - Social Minister Tri Rismaharini confirmed that there was an investigation into reports of cuts in direct cash assistance due to the increase in fuel oil prices (BLT BBM) by a number of regional heads.

Risma said that her party had heard reports of people being required to use BLT BBM money to buy things from other parties.

She ensured that BLT BBM was directly given to beneficiaries (PM) through PT Pos Indonesia, not through regional officials.

She also received a report from PT Pos Indonesia with photo evidence of handing over the money to the PM, which was by the Integrated Social Welfare Data (DTKS).

Social Minister Risma said that if there was a PM with an elderly disability, PT Pos Indonesia would immediately deliver it to the person concerned. Likewise, if the PM has a mental disability, it will be immediately given according to the data.

In another report related to the delivery of BLT BBM, there was also a registered PM who was represented by his family for delivery. Social Minister Risma said as long as there is photographic evidence, it can be done.

Furthermore, when there was a PM who complained that he had not received BLT BBM, it was even covered by the media. However, because the Ministry of Social Affairs has data in the form of photos, the PM can be traced, and the recipient turns out to have received BLT BBM before.

BLT BBM, said Social Minister Risma, was also distributed by PT Pos with the help of planes and helicopters in mountainous areas.

Regarding the report on the BLT fuel cut by the local government, Social Minister Risma hopes to immediately obtain evidence and reports related to this matter, so that he can investigate directly.

"Where's the data? Dear me, don't investigate now", said Social Minister Risma.

Social Minister Risma said that her party would coordinate with law enforcement officers every month in the context of socializing the distribution of BLT BBM. He hopes that APH and the media can provide factual reports regarding the BLT fuel cuts.

Previously reported incidents of BLT BBM cuts were carried out by a number of regional heads. Such as the deduction of BLT BBM by the wife of the village head of IDR 20,000 per beneficiary.

In addition, there was a withdrawal of BLT BBM worth IDR 100,000 by the village government under the pretext of paying for the earth alms which are planned to be held next year.
