Social Minister Asks Residents to Report Police When Direct Cash Assistance with Oil Fuel is Cut

JAKARTA - Minister of Social Affairs Tri Rismaharini encouraged the public to report allegations of cutting off direct fuel oil cash assistance (BLT BBM) to law enforcement officials.

Social Minister Risma ensured that the BLT BBM had been handed over directly by PT Pos Indonesia to the beneficiary (PM) accompanied by transparent proof of receipt in the form of a photo of the handing over of cash to PM.

Therefore, the Minister of Social Affairs, Risma, believes that the BLT BBM cuts that some residents felt occurred after the aid was received.

Responding to reports that a number of regional leaders were found to have cut off BLT BBM, Social Minister Risma handed it over to the legal apparatus.

"Please report it and the APH (law enforcement officers) has moved. We every few days, the police asked us to have a conference, explain that", said Social Minister Risma as quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, September 21.

Social Minister Risma also said that the Ministry of Social Affairs is also willing to be a witness for cases of BLT cuts that are felt by the community in several places.

Previously reported incidents of BLT BBM cuts carried out by a number of regional heads. Such as the deduction of BLT BBM in Blora Regency by the wife of the Head of Nglego Hamlet, Sumberejo Village, Randublatung District, amounting to IDR 20,000 per beneficiary.

In addition, there was a withdrawal of BLT BBM worth IDR 100,000 by the government of Cikakak Village, Banjarharjo District, Brebes on the pretext of the earth alms which is planned to be held next year.
