JAKARTA - The Criminal Investigation Unit of the Jatinegara Police managed to apprehend two perpetrators of the stabbing of a teenager with the initials MH (17) to death during a brawl on Jalan Basuki Rahmat, Jatinegara District, East Jakarta.

The Jatinegara Police Buser team arrested four teenagers while hiding in an boarding house.

Of the four people who were arrested, two of them had the initials RD (17) and AI (16) were named suspects. Meanwhile, two other people have the status of witnesses.

The arrests of the four perpetrators were made after officers collected a number of evidences related to the incident. During the arrest, the police also confiscated a number of evidences of sharp weapons used by the perpetrators to kill the victim.

From the results of the examination, the perpetrators abused the victim with two sickle blades. And it is also known that the two perpetrators named their members the Bembem and Cambodia gangs.

Jatinegara Police Chief Kompol Entong Raharja said the victim died in the hospital after suffering severe stab wounds to the chest and back. According to Entong, the cause of the incident began with mocking each other.

"The cause was mocking each other, the perpetrator made an appointment via a short message from WhatsApp. We confiscated two sickles and clothes belonging to the victim which were covered in blood," said Kompol Entong, Tuesday, September 20.

Previously, it was reported that a brawl between two groups of teenagers occurred again on Jalan Basuki Rahmat, Jatinegara District, East Jakarta. As a result of the brawl, a 17-year-old teenager died after being stabbed by a sharp weapon by an opposing group.
