JAKARTA - The Southeast Sulawesi (Sultra) Provincial Government said that the initial budget for the construction of the new governor's office building was allocated Rp27 billion through the 2022 Revised APBD.

"The new building for the Southeast Sulawesi Governor's office, which is planned for 22 floors, will use 860 stakeholders with a budget of Rp27 billion and is currently included in the 2022 Revised APBD," said Head of the Human Settlements and Construction Development Office of Southeast Sulawesi Province, Pahri Yamsul, Monday 19 September.

Pahri explained that as many as 860 stakepoles used would support the building as high as 112 meters.

"So the number of stake poles that will be stepped at a depth of 28 meters is the result of the technical calculations of building experts set by the PUPR ministry," he said.

He added that the construction of the New Building for the Southeast Sulawesi Governor's Office, which is located behind the old building, stands on an area of 14.7 hectares and is estimated to be completed in 2024.

"The governor's new office construction technique, which cost Rp. 400 billion, uses a hydraulic system or injection," said Pahri.

The hydraulic system is the latest environmentally friendly technology, so it does not interfere with government activities or the surrounding community.

The construction of the new office building for the Governor of Southeast Sulawesi, is planned since 2018, but it has only been realized in 2022, as one of the phenomenal works of Governor Ali Mazi, at the end of his term of office.

Previously, Governor Ali Mazi, built three other mega projects, namely the Kendari-Toronipa tourist toll road, Heart Hospital and International standard modern Library Building which will simultaneously be inaugurated in December 2022.
