BALI - The Reptil Lovers Community in Bali is again taking advantage of the moment of reopening Car Free Day (CFD) or vehicle-free day at Niti Mandala Renon Field, Denpasar, to provide education about snakes to the public.

"Usually it is always routine every Sunday when CFD is from before COVID-19, and this is only the first day after it opens again. We are here introducing and educating the public on how to catch, distinguishing venomous snakes or not, and how not to prevent them from entering the house," said Oka Widiantana (28) as a member of the community, quoted by Antara, Sunday, September 18.

Oka said snake education from his community during Car Free Day did not charge or free, nor did the snakes brought were safe and venomous animals so that anyone could approach them.

"Hopefully it can provide information to the public, educate if not all snakes are venomous and some can be kept, such as a pylon albino, an ornamental animal, today we also bring three all batik pythons, only different colors, and this is not aggressive, it can also be carried," said Oka.

Although the number of visitors to snake education on Car Free Day was not as much as it used to be, Oka admitted that this enthusiasm was still relatively high. Many of the visitors were seen as active and showed their interest in knowing more about the melata animal, although there are still those who show fear.

To the media, Oka said that the free snake education based on community initiatives will be held regularly every Sunday, this is also to facilitate the public so that there is no need to spend hundreds of thousands to experience this experience.

Meanwhile, one of Intan Diasti's (22) visitors said he was happy with the education of snakes during Car Free Day. He considered this to be one of the attractions besides exercising.

"I'm happy that there is this education, there is also experience to hold snakes this big, free and curious to finally be answered. Hopefully many will take advantage of this after the sport," he said.

In the implementation of Car Free Day, which had been suspended for two years due to this pandemic, other communities in Denpasar City were also enlivened, ranging from the initiation of young people, adults and parents.

One of the things that is also enthusiastic about the opening of the CFD Renon is the Denpasar Federal conventional bicycle community. Community chairman I Ketut Gede Astawa (59) said he was very happy because he was again able to use CFD as the location for his member's gathering point.

"We see the enthusiasm of our friends for this activity is extraordinary. We from the bicycle community, especially the Denpasar Federation, welcome it, hopefully the CFD will give meaning to the community," he said.
