Zulpan revealed that the police had examined seven people as witnesses in the investigation of the case.
"We are also examining four witnesses who were at the scene," he said.
He further explained that the sexual exploitation case was reported to the Polda Metro Jaya in June 2022 with the report number LP/B/2912/VO/2022/SPKT/Polda Metro Jaya.
"The reporter as the biological father explained that the victim said that he had been sold by the reported person in the West Jakarta area," said Zulpan.
Zulpan revealed that based on the initial information obtained by investigators, the victim was not only exploited by the perpetrator, but also held captive.
Investigators also received information that the victim was used as a commercial sex worker (PSK) at a rate of Rp. 300 thousand to Rp. 500 thousand.
The case is currently still being processed at the Sub-Directorate of Youth and Women (Renakta) at the Directorate of General Criminal Investigation of the Polda Metro Jaya.
The police have also coordinated with the Integrated Service Center for the Empowerment of Women and Children (P2TP2A) to provide assistance to victims.
"We are coordinating with P2TP2A for the protection of victims," said Zulpan.
