Central Java And Customs And Excise Police Expressed Delivery Of 3.5 Kg Of Crystal Methamphetamine From Malaysia Towards Nganjuk And Tulungagung

SEMARANG The Central Java Police's Narcotics Directorate again thwarted efforts to distribute international drug networks from Malaysia. Three suspects who are still related to their families were arrested by officers in Nganjuk and Tulungagung, East Java.

This was revealed at a press conference at the Central Java Police Headquarters led by the Director of Drug Investigation (Dirresnarkoba) of the Central Java Police Kombes Pol Lutfi Martadian accompanied by the Head of the Tanjung Mas Customs Office Anton Martin and the Central Java BNNP official, Thursday afternoon, September 15.

The disclosure began on Thursday (1 September) by Customs and Excise officers suspected that four packages came from Malaysia. After checking X-Ray, it was found that each package contained crystal powder. The results of the test kit on the crystal powder were positive for Methamfetamia (shabu)," said the Director of Drugs.

The three suspects who were arrested had the initials HS alias MW (42), UK (34) and KK (47).

Kombes Lutfi Martadian said the suspect was HS who worked as a laborer in Malaysia. He sent drugs hidden in 4 cigarettes from Malaysia by sea to the addresses he had received from the suspects UK and KK.

The goods are intended to be sent in two places, namely at YA's house (the stepson of the suspect KK) in Nganjuk and at the house of a relative of the UK suspect in Tulungagung.

Furthermore, officers tracked down the shipment and arrested the three suspects in Nganjuk and Tulungagung regencies, East Java on Monday, September 5.

During the arrest, officers dismantled the contents of the package and found methamphetamine with a total of 3.5 kg hidden in 4 packages containing the Pigura.

"The three people who were arrested were HS as the sender of the package from Malaysia as well as the UK and KK suspects who played a role in providing packages delivery addresses, both of whom were promised a salary from suspect HS of Rp. 5 million each," he said.

In his statement, suspect HS admitted that he received a salary from someone who ordered him to send the package from Malaysia amounting to Rp50 million.

For the involvement of the suspects in the international network of drug trafficking, the suspects were charged with Article 132 paragraph 1 in conjunction with Article 114 paragraph 1 subs article 112 paragraph 1 of the Republic of Indonesia Law No. 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics.

"The threat is a minimum of 5 years and a maximum of 20 years or the death penalty," he said.
