COVID-19 Update as of September 14: 2,799 New Cases, 30,411 Active Cases

JAKARTA - The Task Force for Handling COVID-19 released the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 as of today. A total of 74,527 specimens were examined with the result that there were 2,799 new positive cases of COVID-19.

"The total accumulated positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 6,400,035 people and active cases have fallen by 1,160 to 30,411 cases," said data from the COVID-19 Task Force, Wednesday, September 14.

Today's recovered cases increased by 3,938 people, bringing the total to 6,211,796 people recovered. Then, the number of positive confirmed cases who died increased by 21 cases and the total was 157,828 people.

The province with the newest cases is DKI Jakarta with 1,228 cases and a total of 1,413,176 cases. Followed by West Java with 484 new cases with a total of 1,174,330 cases. Banten with 284 new cases and a total of 334,296 cases. East Java with 267 new cases and a total of 601,953 cases.

The province with the most recovered cases today belongs to West Java with an additional 1,279 recovered cases. Followed by DKI Jakarta with an additional 982 recovered cases, Banten with an additional 912 recovered cases, and East Java with an additional 226 recovered cases.

In addition, the number of specimens that have been examined using RT-PCR, TCM, and antigens has reached 107,716,925.

"Positive results per number of people examined or the positivity rate of people this week is 9.57 percent," it wrote.

The number of people suspected of contracting COVID-19 or who are currently categorized as suspected cases was recorded at 4,775 people. Currently, 34 provinces have had cases of COVID-19.

To date, 203,435,374 people have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination and 171,111,977 people have received the second dose of vaccination.

While the third dose of vaccination was 61,135,788 people and the fourth dose was 417,323 people. Meanwhile, the target for vaccination in Indonesia is 234,666,020 people.
