Gembong admitted that there were no rules that prohibited Anies from inaugurating his subordinates when he was close to stepping down. Previously, the Chairman of the DKI Jakarta DPRD, Prasetyo Edi Marsudi, asked DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan not to inaugurate DKI Provincial Government officials from today until his term of office ends on October 16, 2022. Prasetyo suggested that Anies not inaugurate DKI Provincial Government officials in order to maintain political stability ahead of the end of his tenure in Jakarta. "To maintain a healthy social political stability in bureaucratic politics in accelerating development and public services programs in the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government, we hereby propose that the Governor of DKI Jakarta does not inaugurate high-ranking Pratama officials," said Prasetyo.
