JAKARTA - Cipinang Besar Utara Urban Village, Jatinegara, East Jakarta, involved Public Infrastructure and Facilities Management (PPSU) officers to beautify the residential area of ​​Gembira Gembrong Village.

The head of Cipinang Besar Utara Village, Agung Budi Santoso, said the PPSU officers were deployed to create a mural on the wall of the residential area of ​​the victims of the Gembrong Market fire which was being revitalized.

"So we have the potential, we empower those in the region. One of them is PPSU to create murals in these 'spots' in Gembira Gembrong Village," Agung said, quoting Antara, Tuesday, September 13.

Agung added that the mural on the walls of the Gembira Gembrong residential area carried several themes, such as nationality, culture, and cleanliness.

"The work started last Sunday. Some have been completed and some are still in the working stage," said Agung.

Through the creation of the mural, it is hoped that Gembira Gembrong Village can be introduced to the wider community after being revitalized due to the fire.

"The purpose of the mural is to introduce the Gembira Gembrong Village to the general public in Jakarta from the revitalization program after the fire," said Agung.

PPSU officer of Cipinang Besar Utara Urban Village, Muhammad Fauzi said that the making of the mural in Gembira Gembrong Village had a number of challenges in the process.

"As for the difficulty, it might be because of the weather, if it rains, because now it's the rainy season," said Fauzi.

Fauzi has prepared anticipation if it rains so that the mural-making work is completed on time.

"In anticipation, the paint must be maintained so that it does not fade and for all kinds of textures, it must be thickened again," he said.
