JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) released the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 as of today. A total of 80,232 specimens were examined with the results of 3,513 new positive cases of COVID-19.

"The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 6,382,002 and active cases have fallen by 13 to 38,119 cases," said Ministry of Health data, Wednesday, September 7.

Today's recovered cases increased by 3,505 people, bringing the total to 6,186,166 recovered. Then, the number of positive confirmed cases who died increased by 21 cases and the total was 157,717 people.

The province with the newest cases is DKI Jakarta with 1,486 cases and a total of 1,405,670 cases. Followed by West Java with 697 new cases with a total of 1,171,098 cases. Banten with 390 new cases and a total of 332,374 cases. East Java with 384 new cases and a total of 600,083 cases.

The province with the most recovered cases today belongs to West Java with an additional 1,323 recovered cases. Followed by DKI Jakarta with an additional 1,211 recovered cases, East Java with an additional 335 recovered cases, and Banten with an additional 133 recovered cases.

In addition, the number of specimens that have been examined using RT-PCR, TCM, and antigens reached 107,252,227.

"Positive results per number of people examined or the positivity rate of people this week was 10.27 percent," it wrote.

The number of people suspected of contracting COVID-19 or currently categorized as suspected cases was recorded at 5,874 people. Currently, 34 provinces have had cases of COVID-19.

To date, 203,435,374 people have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination and 171,111,977 people have received the second dose of vaccination.

While the third dose of vaccination was 61,135,788 people and the fourth dose was 417,323 people. Meanwhile, the target for vaccination in Indonesia is 234,666,020 people.
