YOGYAKARTA - Deputy Governor of West Java, Uu Ruzhanul Ulum, has again been in the public spotlight for his statement regarding the HIV AIDS case in the city of Bandung. His statement has sparked controversy. This is not the first time the name of the former Regent of Tasikmalaya has become a topic of discussion. There are a number of controversies between the Deputy Governor of West Java that the public still remembers.

The excitement began with the circulation of information that there were 12,358 positive residents of HIV/AIDS in West Java. Of these, 414 students were infected with HIV and 5,943 of them were residents of Bandung City. The Deputy Governor of West Java proposed a solution to the case.

The Deputy Governor of West Java said that young marriages and polygamy could be a solution to prevent the spread of HIV/AIDS. This statement immediately received criticism from the public. Ridwan Kamil even spoke out, stating that he did not agree with what Uu said.

The Deputy Governor of West Java also spoke up about this case. Instead, he asked that the alleged bullying case be reconciled or resolved amicably. Furthermore, he considered the case a joke.

"After listening to the chronology of the KPAID Chair, actually what went viral in the community, there was another sexual intercourse, I saw the video was impossible (there was intercourse), especially a small child like that. Sorry, so it's clearer, it's also not 'building up', how about it," said Uu.

The Deputy Governor of West Java likened the case to his childhood experience. He said he often hears of incidents of human intercourse with animals. Such as intercourse with buffalo in Cikatomas, his neighbor with chickens. This is an ordinary joke, so the case must be ended, said Uu.

But not long after, he apologized to the public for his remarks about jokes.

"I remember when I was little, and things like that were forbidden, I couldn't. But my intention was to make fun of it, let alone do it. It was called a normal thing because I had experienced it, but it was not allowed and was not good according to religion," continued Uu.

In the case of child bullying in Tasikmalayan, the Deputy Governor of West Java did not only call the action a normal joke. He also asked that the case be resolved peacefully or not to be brought to the court.

Uu has met with related family members, and suggested the case is Allah (peace). He proposed that the case not be brought to justice. He said social law was much more severe.

On this statement, Uu then apologized to the community. he assessed that legal steps were also legal to fight for justice.

"I personally apologize to the public, but the context is that my feelings have been completed, I have officially statemented," said Uu through a video uploaded to his Instagram account.

The Deputy Governor of West Java again made statements that disturbed the community recently, especially West Java residents. He responded to the high news of HIV/AIDS cases in the West Java region.

Based on data from the Bandung AIDS Management Commission (KPA), the transmission rate of AIDS in the city of Bandung reached 5,943 cases. However, this data is an accumulation during the period 1991 to 2021. The reason for the high number of AIDS cases was due to free sex and without safety.

Uu Ruzhanul also provided a solution to overcome this problem. He said polygamy and young marriage could be a solution to prevent an increase in HIV/AIDS in his area.

Furthermore, she said marriage and polygamy can distance themselves from adultery. She said it was due to adultery that there were many infectious diseases. She said that instead of mothers and children getting HIV because her husband often eats outside, it's better if the husband commits polygamy as long as it's fair.
