KPK Investigates Several Projects In Amarta Karya Use A Fictitious Subcontractor

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) examined five witnesses to explore the implementation of several projects at PT Amarta Karya on suspicion of using a fictitious subcontractor. The KPK examined the five at the KPK Building, Jakarta, last Wednesday in an investigation into a corruption case related to the project procurement at PT Amarta Karya in 2018-2020. "His knowledge is explored, among others, the implementation of several work projects of PT AK (Amarta Karya) related to allegations of using a number of fictitious subcontractors," said Head of the KPK News Section Ali Fikri in Jakarta, Antara, Thursday, September 1. The five witnesses, namely three Project Managers of PT Amarta Karya, each Sutarno, Firman Sri Sugiharto, and Achmad Alfi as well as two Site Administration Managers of PT Amarta Karya Aswin and Rizal Fadilah. The KPK revealed that the modus operandi in this case was an unlawful act related to the implementation of fictitious projects, resulting in state financial losses. However, the KPK has not yet been able to fully inform the construction of the case and who has been named as a suspect in the case. The parties named as suspects will be announced when the investigation is sufficient and will be delivered at the time of forced arrest or detention. Currently, the investigative team is still completing the evidence by summoning witnesses related to the case.
