JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) is investigating allegations of land purchase and ownership of a mining company in Tanah Bumbu Regency. This was done by examining the former Director of PT Permata Abadi Raya, Wawan Surya on Tuesday, August 30. "Hadir and confirmed, among other things, related to the alleged purchase of land to ownership of companies that obtained IUP (mining business permits) in Tanah Bumbu which also allegedly belonged to the suspect MM (former Regent of Tanah Bumbu Mardani Maming)," said Head of the KPK News Section Ali Fikri to reporters, Wednesday, August 31. It was not specified what company got the business license. Ali only said that Wawan's statement was expected to complete the case file of Mardani H. Maming, who is the former Regent of Tanah Bumbu. As previously reported, the KPK has named Mardani H. Maming as a suspect in alleged bribery and gratification of mining business permits in Tanah Bumbu Regency. He was named a suspect in the recipient. Meanwhile, as the giver, Hendry Soetio, who is the controller of PT Prolindo Cipta Nusantara (PCN), was declared dead. Even though he died, the KPK ensured that investigators had received evidence related to Mardani's acceptance. Mardini is suspected of receiving money from Hendry from 2014 to 2020 reaching Rp. 104.3 billion which was received through trusted people and his company.
