JAKARTA - The Gerindra Party has no problem with the name of its general chairman, Prabowo Subianto, not being included in the list of recommendations for presidential candidates (candidates) for the 2024 presidential election as a result of the National Working Meeting (Rakernas) of the National Mandate Party (PAN). The daily chairman of the DPP Gerindra Party, Sufmi Dasco Ahmad, emphasized that his party would continue to open communication with PAN even though Prabowo's name was not on the list of proposed presidential candidates.

"I don't think there is a problem, political communication with all political parties will remain. No matter what, we must communicate and of course as our partners in the DPR there will be no problems," said Dasco at the Senayan Parliament Complex, Central Jakarta, Monday, August 29.

The Deputy Speaker of the DPR admitted that his party is open to all possibilities so that it continues to establish communication with political parties inside and outside the parliament.

In fact, Dasco appreciated the list of names proposed by the presidential candidates for the 2024 Presidential Election as a result of the PAN National Working Meeting. Moreover, said Dasco, there is the name of the chairman of the DPR, Puan Maharani. "That's democracy, that then there were several names that were mentioned by friends in PAN. Including Mbak Puan, yes we appreciate it, the name is democracy, we must appreciate it," he said. PAN National Working Meeting. The nine names are divided into several clusters, namely the elite of political parties, ministers and regional heads. The first cluster is filled with political party elites who serve as chairmen. PAN recommended Golkar chairman Airlangga Hartarto, PDIP DPP chairman Puan Maharani, and PAN chairman Zulkifli Hasan.

"First, PAN is currently in the United Indonesia Coalition (KIB). This coalition must have a role in the upcoming political contestation.
