Head of Basarnas Banda Aceh Ibnu Harris Al Hussain said the two victims who were found dead were Ahmadal Hadi (17), from Lam Hasan, Peukan Bada District, Aceh Besar District, and Reza (18), a resident of Punge, Banda Aceh.
"The two victims were found at different times on Friday (26/8). Victim Ahmadal Hadi was found at around 11.30 WIB and victim Reza at 17.00 WIB," said Ibnu Harris as reported by ANTARA, Friday, August 26.
Ibnu said the two victims were found as far as 1.5 kilometers from the last point seen towards the mouth of the river. Furthermore, the victim was evacuated to the Leupung Health Center.
Meanwhile, the two victims who are still being searched are Fakhrul Razi (20), a Malaysian citizen and Darazatul Aulia (17), a resident of Rumoh Panjang Village, Kuala Batee District, Southwest Aceh Regency.
Previously, the victim traveled by bathing the Brayeuen River in Meunasah Mesjid Village, Leupung District, Aceh Besar District, Thursday (25/8) at around 13.00 WIB.
When they were bathing in the river, said Ibnu, suddenly there was a flood with a swift river current. Currently, the weather around the river is experiencing heavy rain. As a result, the four students were dragged by the river current.
"The search for the two victims is still ongoing. The search uses two rubber boats and by combing the watershed. The search also involves the Police and the TNI as well as the local community," said Ibnu.
