Mayor Of Surabaya Wants City Parks To Be Lush But Looks Well Maintained

JAKARTA - The Mayor of Surabaya, Eri Cahyadi wants to arrange various city parks in the area to keep them beautiful and beautiful.

"With the arrangement of the city center park, Surabaya residents can enjoy the beauty of the park, which can be seen from every side," said Mayor Eri in Surabaya, East Java, Friday, August 26, quoted from Antara.

He admitted that he had checked the arrangement of the park in the middle of the city, along Jalan Raya Darmo Surabaya on Thursday, August 25 yesterday.

During the inspection, Mayor Eri asked the Surabaya Environment Service (DLH) to tidy up the trees on Jalan Raya Darmo so that they don't look lush.

"We still want the city park to be beautiful but beautiful. Four years ago it looked good, but now it's lush like it's not being cared for. So I took plant shoots, but I kept the mother plant," he said.

He said the existing plants and trees along Jalan Raya Darmo would be preserved.

In fact, he also asked to provide shrubs (small ornamental plants) along the park on Jalan Raya Darmo.

"But there must also be shrubs and trees. Maybe there are frangipani, there are palm trees. There are also various kinds of palm trees, there are red palms and sente palms," he said.

Therefore, he continued, the shoots that had been collected were to be rearranged in the hope of further beautifying the central park of Surabaya.

"So that when collected, the bottom can be formed. That's what I maintain, so it's not just vines, but there must be shrubs, there must be trees. So that it becomes a single unit that makes the garden shady but still beautiful," he said.
