JAKARTA - Turkey has again demonstrated its strength as one of the manufacturers of unmanned combat vehicles (UCAVs) or top drones.

This time, Baykar, the country's well-known drone manufacturer, shared a video showing the Akinci B drone capable of flying with nine fully charged ammunition stations, on the company's official Twitter account.

Combat drones, capable of flying with some ammunition, carry ammunition developed domestically Teber 82 and MAM-T mini ammunition, along with MAM-L and MAM-C mini ammunition at double launcher stations and HGK-82 at medium-range weapons stations.

The drone has previously conducted a test-firing with a Teber-82 guide kit, developed by defense giant Roketsan.

MAM (Mini Akıllı Mühimmat or smart micro Munition) is a laser-manded system produced by Roketsan for armed drones, light attack aircraft and fighter aircraft.

It is known that the MAM-C is a high-exploding variant while the MAM-L is the most modern variant. The biggest weapon, MAM-T, is a long-range variant.

The HGK 82 is a precision guidance kit developed by the Institute for Defense Industry Research and Development (SAGE) of the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Türkiye (T downstreamBITAK).

During the latest test flight, the plane carried three Teber-82, one HGK 82, two MAM-L, MAM-C, and MAM-T, weighing a total of 1,230 kilograms (2,711.69 pounds).

On Wednesday, Baykar wrote on its Twitter account, it had sent three Akinci B drone units to the country's Air Force.

"We are proud to send another 3 Bayraktar #AKNCI B TOPHA to our Air Force Command, persistent skykeeper!" the company tweeted.
