JAKARTA - The suspect in the alleged corruption case over the control of 37,095 hectares of palm oil land area, Surya Darmadi (SD) is undergoing examination as a witness for the suspect Raja Thamsir Rachman (RTR).

The Head of the Attorney General's Legal Information Center (Kapuspenkum) Ketut Sumedana said that Surya Darmadi's investigation was carried out at the Salemba Branch of the Attorney General's Detention Center.

"So today it is planned to examine the SD suspect in the capacity as a witness for the name of the suspect RTR. Sumedana said Surya Darmadi's condition was in good health and fit to undergo detention and examination based on the results of the examination by the Adhyaksa General Hospital (RSU) Doctor Team.

"The person concerned is in good health. Yesterday he was transferred from Adhyaksa Hospital to the Salemba Branch of the Prosecutor's Detention Center," he said.

Previously, Surya Darmadi had been sent to Adhyaksa General Hospital, Thursday (18/8) because his health was declining due to heart disease.

Today, said Kapuspenkum, the ban status was revoked, and Surya Darmadi was again detained and immediately investigated as a suspect.

According to Ketut, investigators have confiscated 32 assets of suspect Surya Darmadi, of which 18 are in Jakarta, 12 assets are in Riau, and two assets are in Bali.

“Lastly, we confiscated a hotel in Bali. Currently, the team has tracked the suspect's assets in West Kalimantan, Central Kalimantan, Jambi and Batam," said Sumedana.

The assets seized were in the form of oil palm plantations, buildings, barges, and hotels. Currently, investigators are still verifying the value of the confiscated assets, while focusing on pursuing other assets owned by the suspect Surya Darmadi.
