Indonesian Civil Society Community Reveals Brigadier J's Aspirations To Become An Officer And Get Married After Graduation

TANGERANG - The graduation ceremony for Nofriansyah Yosua Hutabarat or Brigadier J took place at the Open University (UT), South Tangerang. The family of the deceased also attended this event, one of which was his father, Brigadier J, Samuel Hutabarat.

The head of the Indonesian Civil Society Community, Irma Hutabarat, said that several families from Jambi accompanied Brigadier J's father to attend the graduation of the aide to Inspector General Pol Ferdy Sambo. As for those who came, Mrs. Hutabarat and Opung Hutabarat

"So we are happy and mixed with sadness too, hopefully this matter will be over soon. Indeed, Joshua's goal is to become an officer so that he can get married after graduation," said Irma to reporters at UT, South Tangerang, Tuesday, August 22.

"So this graduation is indeed a benchmark, later I will get married when I graduate and become an officer," he continued.

Irma explained that the reason Brigadier J's mother, Rosti Simanjuntak was not present at her son's graduation, was because her body was not fit or she was still sick.

"Mrs. Rosti Simanjuntak because she is still not strong enough. I think she is too sad, too hurt to see her son's dreams come true, but his son has died," he said.

On that occasion, Irma welcomed UT's treatment of the deceased's family, because it not only gave awards but also provided accommodation for the family to go to Jakarta.

"Joshua is a smart kid, because his GPA is above three and he finishes on time, among his many activities as an aide," he added.

He also revealed that the Brigadier J award is an example that education must be sought to the highest level.

"I also hope that this will be an inspiration for many other people throughout Indonesia to study as high as possible," he concluded.

It is known that Brigadier J during his lifetime was a student of the Law Studies Program, Faculty of Law and Social and Political Sciences (FHISIP), UPBJJ-UT Jambi who was registered since 2015. Meanwhile, the mother of the deceased was an alumnus of UT and his younger brother was also a student of UT.
