Arriving At NasDem Tower, PDIP Starts First Political Safari

JAKARTA - The PDI-P (PDIP) started a political safari by visiting the NasDem Party at NasDem Tower, Gondangdia, Central Jakarta today, Monday, August 22. The party bearing the symbol of the bull was represented by the chairman of the PDIP DPP who is also the chairman of the Indonesian parliament, Puan Maharani.

From VOI's observation, Puan came with her entourage, namely PDIP Secretary General Hasto Kristiyanto, PDIP General Treasurer Olly Dondokambey, PDIP Election Winning Body (Bappilu) Chairman Bambang Wuryanto or Bambang Pacul, and other groups. They arrived around 11.00 WIB.

He was greeted by Deputy General Chairman of NasDem Ahmad Ali, Secretary General of the NasDem Party Johnny G. Plate, Chairman of the DPP Willy Aditya. They then entered the building and had time to greet the media crew before going up to the 22nd floor of the room of the General Chairperson of the NasDem Party, Surya Paloh.

NasDem DPP chairman Willy Aditya said the presence of the PDI-P in his office would discuss many things, including political cooperation. It is hoped that in the future an understanding can be established between the two parties.

In addition, the meeting of the two parties is also to dismiss the issue of estrangement between NasDem and PDIP.

"So far this has often been a miscommunication, misperceptions as if they are considered hot relationships even though it's fine," Willy told reporters.

Willy said there were a number of things that would be discussed in the closed meeting. Heavy to light topics will be discussed later.

However, he did not elaborate on the focus of the conversation. He only mentioned that the conversation about nationality so that political cooperation and nostalgia could be discussed.

Moreover, the General Chair of the NasDem Party, Surya Paloh, has good relations with the family of the First President of the Republic of Indonesia, Soekarno, including Puan Maharani.

"Of course there is nostalgia, there are conversations about nationality, about elections, about political cooperation. All later there will be many things that will be discussed with Ms. Puan in the meeting later," he said.

"So today's visit proves that PDI-P and NasDem have similar lines, historical similarities which later became a big capital for building cooperation in the next stage. We will see what will be the subject of discussion," concluded Willy.
