JAKARTA - DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan touched on the political promises he made since the 2017 DKI election campaign until he was elected Governor of DKI until now.

As his term of office ends in two months, Anies claims that his political promises have been completed one by one. One of them is the provision of housing in the inauguration of 12 simple rental flats (rusunawa) today.

"Alhamdulillah, one by one has been completed, and this (rusunawa inauguration) is one of them," said Anies at the inauguration of 12 flats at Rusunawa Penjaringan, North Jakarta, Thursday, August 18.

In fulfilling his campaign promises, Anies outlined a number of processes, starting from making promises in the regional medium-term development plans (RPJMD), then downgrading them through regional strategic activities (KSD).

Furthermore, these activities are instructed to each regional work unit (SKPD) to be executed to monitoring-evaluation.

"This monitoring system is evaluated on a regular basis, some fortnightly, one monthly, depending on the type," said Anies.

Anies claims that this form of technocracy is carried out consistently and seriously. Thus, the development plans that he initiated in his political promises can be executed.

"This is where the invisible process is. The next thing you know, the goods will be finished, the next time it will be finished. That way, it is hoped that what has been promised, planned, will be executed. And we are grateful that one by one we see the signs, wrong this one," said Anies.

For information, on the day Anies inaugurated 12 simple rental flats (rusunawa) spread across 4 administrative cities of DKI Jakarta. There are 33 towers with 7,421 housing units in these 12 flats.

In a symbolic inauguration at the Penjaringan Flats, North Jakarta, Anies stated that this was a record for the highest number of flat constructions in the last five years.

"There are 33 towers built in the 2018-2022 period, this can be said to be an extraordinary work record. We can applaud those who work here. They work in silence, invisible," said Anies.

Anies revealed that the construction of the Rusunawa was included in one of his political promises when he was governor of DKI Jakarta, namely facilitating housing for the people in Jakarta.

"We do all this, why? Because we have a political promise. The political promise is to develop facilitation, prepare housing facilities, flats, including rusunawa for all wagra and have equal cases," he explained.
