Bandar Sabu Arrested In Cirebon, Perpetrators Of Maping Placement Locations: Public WC To Trash Cans

JAKARTA - The Cirebon Police arrested five perpetrators of trafficking in methamphetamine and illegal drugs and seized a number of evidences.

"There are two suspected shabu-shabu dealers, namely MM and JS. While the other three people, namely TY, FN, and MN are drug dealers," said Cirebon Police Chief, AKBP Fahri Siregar in Cirebon, Thursday, August 18.

The suspect MM was arrested after the police received information from the public. From the suspect's hands, 15 packages of crystal methamphetamine were confiscated.

Then, the police arrested another methamphetamine dealer with the initials JS who had been the target of the Cirebon City Police Satnarkoba operation because many people reported drug trafficking activities in the suspect's workshop.

"From suspect JS, we confiscated seven packages of crystal methamphetamine that are ready to be distributed," Fahri said, quoted from Antara.

In addition to the methamphetamine package, suspect JS also confiscated a cell phone in which there were a number of maps of locations to place the shabu that had been circulated.

"The map points are in trash cans, drains, public toilets, and others. At these points, shabu-shabu has been placed," he said.

Meanwhile, for the case of illegal drug trafficking without a permit, Fahri said, his party arrested three perpetrators along with 50,926 evidences of dextro pills, trihex, and other psychotropic drugs.

Fahri added that the suspect in the methamphetamine case was charged with Article 112 in conjunction with Article 114 in conjunction with Article 127 of Law Number 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics with a maximum penalty of 20 years in prison.

"Meanwhile, drug dealers without a permit are charged with Article 196 in conjunction with Article 197 of Law Number 36 Year 2009 concerning Health, which carries a maximum penalty of 15 years," he said.
