He explained that for the first SRU, they carried out a search using a SAR Satlinmas Parangtritis SAR jukung with a radius of 1 NM (Nautical Mile), then the second SRU conducted a search using a SAR jetsky with a radius of 1NM.
Meanwhile, for the third SRU, they conducted a visual search by land along the coast using the Basarnas beach patrol and combing personnel with a distance of about one kilometer from the incident location to the west and east.
"For the movement of jukung boats and jetskys, we look at the condition of the height of the sea waves. If possible it will be lowered, but if it is not possible we can 'standby' first, this is for the safety of the Joint SAR Team in SRU one and SRU two," he said.
According to him, the search for a victim who was swept away by the waves on Parangkusumo Beach, Bantul has been carried out by the Joint SAR Team since Monday, August 15, after the marine accident was reported until late at night.
"In the search operation last night, monitoring was also carried out around the location of the incident on Parangkusumo Beach, but until last night the victim had not been found by the Joint SAR Team," he said.
