MEULABOH - The West Aceh Police Criminal Investigation Unit team conducted an investigation related to the alleged misuse of three kilograms of LPG gas subsidies by the government. The police previously secured a minibus unit along with 45 gas cylinders, during a raid on conditions in Meulaboh.
"We are still investigating this case," said West Aceh Police Chief AKBP Pandji Santoso, represented by Head of Criminal Investigation Unit AKP Riski Andrian, as reported by ANTARA, Monday, August 14.
He said that in this case, police officers secured a Toyota Avanza minibus with the police number BL 1205 DH, along with 45 gas cylinders from a resident with the initials DA, a resident of Woyla District, West Aceh Regency.
AKP Riski Andrian explained that the alleged misuse of three kilograms of LPG gas subsidized by the government after police officers and a joint team conducted a raid to create conditions in the Suak Raya Village area, Meulaboh, West Aceh Regency.
During the raid, the police stopped a black minibus with the police number BL 1205 DH driven by DA, a resident of Woyla, West Aceh.
During the inspection, the police found 45 LPG gas cylinders that were transported by the perpetrators in the minibus, so the vehicle and the driver were later secured by the police for further investigation.
In his statement to investigators, said AKP Riski Andrian, the dozens of government subsidized gas cylinders transported were taken from an agent in Woyla District, West Aceh Regency.
In order to uncover this case, the police have also examined an agent and a subsidized gas base for questioning regarding the case.
"We also schedule to request expert information from the Director General of Oil and Gas, Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources of the Republic of Indonesia in Jakarta, to resolve this case," said Riski Andrian.
