COVID Recovery Rate Has Not Been Recorded, Solo Mayor Teguh Prakosa Asks The Health Office To Immediately Communicate To The Provincial Government

SOLO - The Solo City Government, Central Java stated that the suitability of data on COVID-19 cases is still a homework that must be completed considering the number of recoveries that have not been recorded in recent times.

"In total, there are currently around 150 COVID-19 cases in Solo, half of which have already recovered (it has been some time). So there are additional cases but zero recovery, so this needs to be checked again," said Deputy Mayor of Surakarta Teguh Prakosa in Solo , Between, Monday, August 15.

In this regard, he has asked the Surakarta City Health Office (DKK) to communicate with the Ministry of Health, including the Central Java Provincial Government.

Meanwhile, because until now the COVID-19 case in Solo is still relatively sloping, all activities that have been recorded on the government's agenda will continue to be carried out according to schedule.

"The expert's prediction in August is at its peak (the addition of COVID-19 cases). We hope that we can still suppress the number of COVID-19 because it is to encourage economic growth. This cannot be reversed, we will continue to schedule until the end of the year," he said.

However, his party still urges all parties to comply with health protocols, including in schools. "Schools must continue to progress. Masks, hand washing, must be brought back in order," he said.

Meanwhile, he admitted, in recent times COVID-19 cases in Solo have also recorded patient deaths. However, patients who died of them suffered from comorbidities and were elderly.

"Most of those who died were comorbid, they didn't dare to vaccinate. The problem there is, those who have been vaccinated are safer. Those with OTG (people without symptoms) are more likely to survive," said Teguh Prakosa.
