Bengkulu Waits For Delivery Of 10 Thousand Doses Of Moderna For The Fourth Dose Of Vaccination, Turns Out This Is The Obstacle

BENGKULU - Implementation of the fourth dose of COVID-19 vaccination in Bengkulu Province has been hampered. The reason is, the availability of vaccines in the region is now very minimal.

The head of the Bengkulu Provincial Health Office, Herwan Antoni, said that his party had asked for 10 thousand doses of the Moderna vaccine. In fact, the application to the Ministry of Health has been made twice.

However, the vaccine has not been received because there are obstacles in terms of vaccine availability. "Currently we are still waiting," said Herwan, as reported by Antara, Saturday, August 13.

He continued, the current vaccination implementation uses vaccines available at the Bengkulu Health Office storage warehouse. However, the number is now dwindling.

It should be noted that the Bengkulu Provincial Government has started to carry out the fourth dose of vaccination given to health workers. A total of 300 health workers in the region have already received the fourth dose.

The Bengkulu provincial government targets 15 thousand health workers to receive this fourth dose of vaccine.

Apart from Bengkulu, Palembang is also reported to have started the fourth dose of vaccination. Previously, Minister of Health Budi Gunadi Sadikin said his party would focus on increasing the achievement of the third dose of vaccine first.
