Two Teens Seized Near Kendal Tunnel Reconcile, Police: Go Home, Not Detained

JAKARTA - After undergoing an examination at the Menteng Metro Police, two teenagers with the initials AS (19) and AN (15) who were involved in a commotion on Jalan Blora, near Kolong Kendal, Menteng, finally agreed to make peace.

"Both parties have forgiven each other, witnessed by 4 colleagues," said the Menteng Metro Police Chief AKBP Netty Rosdiana Siagian when confirmed by VOI, Monday, August 8.

In addition to forgiving each other, AKBP Netty said that both of them were given direction by the police. Police also called the parents of the two teenagers.

"We make a statement so that it doesn't happen again. We bring their parents. Then we send them home," he said.

After making a statement, AS and AN were sent back to their families to be given further guidance.

"No one has been detained. They are allowed to go home," he said.

Previously, it was reported that a number of teenagers were involved in a riot in front of the Sudirman KRL station, Jalan Blora, Kolong Kendal, Menteng District, Central Jakarta, Saturday, August 6 yesterday.

From the chaos, two teenagers were arrested by members of the Menteng Metro Police.
