Furious At Rizieq's Crowd Being Left, Doctor Tirta Asks For The Transitional PSBB To Be Revoked

JAKARTA - A medical volunteer for handling COVID-19, doctor Tirta Mandira Hudhi, admitted that he was disappointed with the attitude of the Jakarta Provincial Government and BNPB for allowing crowds to attend the Prophet's birthday and a wedding held by the leader of the Islamic Defenders Front (FPI) Muhammad Rizieq Shihab.

As a volunteer who has been on duty for eight months, Tirta admitted that he was furious when the government implemented the transitional PSBB, on the other hand it actually allowed and distributed masks at an event held by RIzieq.

"A figure made a crowd at the wedding, allowed by the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government, even the event was given 20 thousand masks by BNPB. Even though there was a mask action team in Jakarta. But, there was one event where masks were even distributed. Angry? Obviously. Disappointed? Obviously. I have many health workers who died. They died dealing with COVID-19, "said Tirta in an Instagram TV broadcast on Saturday, November 14.

Tirta admitted that there was an injustice in government policy. The imposition of restrictions makes schools closed, music concerts cannot be held, many business sectors do not earn income, on the other hand it allows crowds.

In fact, according to Tirta, there are still many other areas that need masks more than they are given to residents who carry out the crowd.

"Many small people there need masks. In Nusa Penida, Cilincing, Tanjung Priok, Cipadu, Cijantung Cipayung, need masks. Mount Merapi is on standby, boss. Many need masks in Jogja," said Tirta.

Therefore, Tirta asked the government, especially DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan to withdraw the PSBB and let the COVID-19 pandemic run without any restrictions so that justice can be upheld.

"O BNPB, the Indonesian government, especially the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government, Pak Anies, please be fair. If the crowd is allowed, remove the transition PSBB after November 22," said Tirta.

"Open all activities, disperse volunteers, disperse the COVID-19 Task Force. Don't double standards. What if the COVID-19 Task Force, which makes policies (restrictions), allows crowd events, even distributes masks?" he added.

As is known, a number of guests seemed to be crammed onto the main stage without wearing masks and jostling after the wedding ceremony for Rizieq Shihab's daughter, Syarifah Najwa Shihab, which was held in Petamburan, Central Jakarta, Saturday, November 14.

The marriage contract ceremony between Syarifah Najwa Shihab and Irfan Al Idrus was held at around 21.00 WIB and broadcast on YouTube Front TV.

In this event, Irfan said the contract in Arabic in front of Rizieq, while Najwa Shihab waited at his father's house. The contract ceremony ended at 21.30 WIB. The event was continued with the Prophet's birthday.

Rizieq appears to be wearing a face shield and mask at this event. Although at first he used the mask correctly, later on, Rizieq lowered the mask to his chin.
